What FurnaceIQ does

Built for the way furnaces actually run.

We don't just stream tags onto a chart. FurnaceIQ turns furnace telemetry into the answers operators, supervisors, and execs actually need — when they need them.

Full oversight, every device

Every furnace, every meter, every alarm — live on your phone. From the breaker pill to the last electrode slip, see what the control room sees.

Downtime, explained

When a furnace trips, FurnaceIQ writes the story: cause, duration, the sequence of events, who acknowledged it. No more "what happened on Tuesday".

Auto-generated post-mortemssince first event

Production highlights, live

Live KPIs against shift, daily, weekly and monthly targets. We flag the moment a target slips out of reach — and recommend the setpoint that catches it back.

Advice, not just data

Smart setpoint recommendations based on deficit, ramp rate, and remaining shift time. The system tells you what to adjust — and the operator can apply it with one tap.

One terminal, every plant

Operators jump between furnaces, smelters, and entire sites without switching apps. Same UI, same gestures, anywhere — including the night-shift control room.

Anomaly detection

FurnaceIQ learns the envelope your furnace lives in. The moment current, resistance, position, or temperature drifts outside normal — you get a call-out, not just a chart.

Get started

Three things from you. We do the rest.

FurnaceIQ runs on top of whatever you already have. We don't ask you to rip out a PLC, change your tag taxonomy, or rebuild your control philosophy. We need three things.

01

Tag list

The names of the signals that matter — power, currents, electrode positions, temperatures, breaker state. We map them to a furnace model.

02

PLC type

Make, model, firmware. We've connected Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, ABB, and a long tail of OPC-UA / Modbus controllers.

FAQ

The questions every plant manager asks first.

Does it work with any PLC?+

Yes. FurnaceIQ talks to anything that exposes a tag list — over OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT Sparkplug, Ethernet/IP, or vendor-native drivers. Already deployed against Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Schneider M580, Mitsubishi iQ-R, ABB AC500, and Beckhoff TwinCAT.

Will it work for our metallurgy?+

The platform is metal-agnostic — deployed against ferrochrome submerged-arc furnaces, ferromanganese, silicon and ferrosilicon, iron-melting EAFs, slag-cleaning and matte-converting furnaces, both DC and AC topologies. Your existing control philosophy (resistance, current, impedance) is preserved.

Where does the data live? On-prem or cloud?+

Both — your choice. FurnaceIQ ships as a containerised stack. Run it on the plant network behind your firewall (air-gapped acceptable) or let us host it in your cloud tenant. We never run multi-tenant on shared infrastructure. Historian retention is 12 months online by default; indefinite cold archive on request.

Can it control the furnace, or only observe?+

Both — but observe is the default. Most customers start read-only: live data, KPIs, advice, alerts. When you’re ready, we open a one-way write path back to the PLC, gated by permit + supervisor sign-off, with a hard kill-switch on the operator side. You decide which tags are writable.
